Sakura Matsuriby `VintageWarmth

Sorry for the lack of updates. I've been very busy lately.

I've been inspired by the beauty of Sakura Matsuri (An annual Cherry Blossom Celebration - A Botanical garden in Brookyln, NY)
They do have a contemporary and traditional Japanese music and dance, taiko drumming, ikebana flower arranging, Japanese DJs, presentations on the art of manga, tea ceremonies, japanese cuisine, workshops etc.. It was so much fun. One of the most beautiful events I've ever seen.

Tbis is a wonderful piece you have here. I love the paper craft look to it as it give a sense of DIY style and also fragility and grace that the Cherry Blossoms are known for. I love all the textures you used and what looks like scratches on the Sun there, which all again adds to the Papercraft/DIY style of it. Appropriate use of colors and great composition really lends itself to a balanced piece and it shines as a great piece of Japanese Art. Any japanese art fan would applaud. You're a good artist and your work shows it! :D

You pull this off better than other Japanese-paper-cutout-style flowering tree designs. You make the flowers have a kawaii cute design, the moon is blood red (heck yeah girl), and the overall presentation is a wrapped gift. Thanks for posting this. Stay cool my saintly graphics hero. :)
