Woah, the colour. The colour eats away at my brain like a billion scarabs. This photo is absolutely amazing, if not simple. A nearly perfect macro shot, showing other macrophotographers how it's supposed to be done!

A direct approach to something that's been photographed billions of times over, except this has eye-exploding colour and brain-tearing clarity. Each little stamen seems to have its own name and each pedal its own flavour.

The symmetry isn't 100% perfect, but that seems to add to the very beauty of the photograph. It's seemed to have turned into a portrait of beauty itself, than just some photograph of a flower.
