Just trying to occupy myself due to boredomness in weekend.
. Yet I was working as food illustrator.
Adobe PS CS5 & Illustrator (Mixed media)
original file size: 327.2 MB
no. of layers: about 100 +
Brushes used: sea sponge, airbrush, graining, scattered dust (for dusting sugar on top) etc..
Credits / photo reference: none
no. of working hours: about 6 hours but on & off.
I just wanting to do a still life/food and drink illustration for experiment to recharge some creative juices due to artist's block.
I am not quiet sure the texture of the cream cheese filling. I am little bit concerned that it might look like a chalk or white concrete. I use to apply some little bubbles on cheesecake so that it wont look like just painted solid wood or too stiff. I do think the final result went pretty good. Im quite happy about the table cloth & fruit pieces & fruit bits.
As you can see the little white dust onto syrup & sliced strawberry preserves, It's actually a powdered sugar for garnishing. Though I am not good with pastry decorating. I am not sure the elements. I do hope It's not too much rich or dense. And I hope the syrup doesn't reminds you of dripping blood.
On the other side of my note, i think its style seems to be "Sarah Lee" gourmet theme.
Any critiques are warm welcome. greatly appreciated
